Monday 2nd August 2010 – Dinner with a Difference!
A great night of food and fellowship was enjoyed by all at St Johns Church – Cooks Hill on Friday (30th July), where soup and bread was on the menu! This SRE fundraiser collected over $600 for ongoing financial support of our teachers and there resources. Praise to God for his hand in this fun night!

After 3 months of strategic planning and organization we finally got to see some of the initial fruit of all our hard work. Just to give you an indication of what the lunchtime exo day looked like, here’s a brief run down: - Chick Zone, a tent decorated with load of girly stuff like fairy lights, pink beads and streamers, where student girls could get their hair done, nails done, and eat as much fairy floss and chocolate from the fondue as they wanted. - Comp zone, this was a designated area where we ran a number of “minute to win it” challenges for students to compete in for chocolate prizes. - Band zone, we were privileged enough to have one of the headlining band (Everyday Process) at the Sydney Big Exo Day this year, come up and perform for our students, THEY WENT OFF!!!! (that means they were incredible) - We had a free BBQ for the whole school - Then we also we lucky enough to get the Newcastle Jets soccer Captain come in and sign autographs and run some fun competitions with the students….”
